Hard Rock Cafes sold to Seminole Tribe

[December 7th 2006]

The Seminole Tribe of Florida has bought Hard Rock Cafe with all its Cafes, Hotels, Casinos, Concert Venues and its massive Memorabilia Collection for 965 Million US-$ from RANK PLC.

Rank had bought Hard Rock Cafe in 1996 from Hard Rock Cafe-Founder Peter Morton for 410 Million US-$.

Second Hard Rock Cafe in Venezuela opened its doors

The second Hard Rock Cafe in Venezuela is open. HRC Margarita opened its doors today.

The Cafe is located on the island of Margarita, off the coast of Venezuela.

Hard Rock Cafe in Jamaica opened its doors

[November 22th 2006]

The first Hard Rock Cafe in Jamaica is open. HRC Ochos Rios opened its doors today.

The Cafe is located on Main Street right in the heart of the town’s entertainment and shopping district.

It is the fourth Hard Rock Cafe location in the Carribean. HRC Ochos Rios is a 180-seat restaurant.

Hard Rock Cafe Mumbai opened its doors (again)

On September 12th 2006 HRC Mumbai, Indai, opened its doors (again). HRC Mumbai was already open earlier this year for a few days but then was closed again due to some problems with the contract.

Finally now the new HRC opposie from Kamala Mills City Studio is really open. The cafe seats 169 people. Memorabilia includes stuff from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, The Boss, U2 and Madonna.

Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo opened its doors

The first Hard Rock Cafe in the Domician Republic is open. HRC Santo Domingo opened its doors today.

The cafe is located in the heart of the city’s colonial zone on the northern side of Colombus Square and facing the Catedral Primada de America.

Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas sold for US-$ 770 million

[June 11th 2006]

Peter Morton, co-founder of the Hard Rock Cafe (together with Isaac Tigrett), has sold his HARD ROCK HOTEL in Las Vegas for US-$ 770 million to Morgans Group Co.

Morton said: "It was time to take the chips off the table. I'm looking to do some different things in my life. That was it."

HRC Rumors

[March 2006]

The HRC in Mumbai, India, is NOT open. Actually it was - but problems with the contract made the owners close it down. It is up for running again in March or April 2006 - if the problems of the contract can be solved.

The other next HRCs will be Ochos Rios (Jamaica), Bucharest (Romania) and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

HR Bar Malta open

The brandnew Hard Rock Bar in Malta opened today. It is located right on the Valetta waterfront at Grand Harbour's cruise terminal where all the big cruise liners stop. The bar seats 140 people.

HRC Belo Horizone, Brasil opened its doors

Just a day before christmas the brandnew HRC in Belo Horizonte opened its doors.

HRC Belo Horizonte is located in the Altavila Shopping mall. It is shaped in form of a amphitheater(2 storys high) and seats 374 people in the restaurant. HRC Belo Horizonte als has a nice terrace and 4 bars and a fully equipped dance area.

HRC Oslo finally is open

The wait is over. Finally HRC Oslo, Norway, is open now.

It is a big cafe with 3 storys.

HRC Gran Canaria is open

[December 2nd 2005]

The brandnew Hard Rock Cafe in Gran Canaria, Spain, is open.

It is located in Playa del Inglés.

HR Hotel Biloxi completely destroyed

[August 31th 2005]

The brandnew Hard Rock Hotel in Biloxi was only days away from its GRAND OPENING - and now it is completely destroyed. Hurricane Katrina damaged the building so badly that it seems it has to be completly rebuild. The Memorabilia already hung on the walls of HR Hotel Biloxi came. Some Memorabilia is totally destroyed.

Also HRC New Orleans is closed due to extensive damage by Hurricane Katrina. This HRC will be closed for quite a while...

HRC New York re-opened

[August 12th 2005]

Today HRC New York re-opened. HRC New York moved from its original location on 57th street to the site of former Paramount Theater right on Time Square.

VIP guests enjoyed the re-opening. Spotted musicians were Steven van Zandt from Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band and Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys.

More than 100 Gibson Guitars were smashed in front of the new HRC New York for the opening ceremony.

The offical GRAND OPENING Party will take place on September 17th and will feature VELVET REVOLVER.

HRC Hurghada, Egypt opened its doors

[November 2004]

Ob November 13th 2004 a new HRC was born - HRC Hurghada in Egypt. It is located on the coastal road (Alkora Road) in Alnawara Center.

HRC Hurghada is a franchise cafe.

HRC Gothenberg, Sweden to open soon

[November 2004]

The newest addition to the HRC Family in Europe will be HRC Gothenberg, in the "musical capital" of Sweden. It is supposed to open in December 2004. HRC Gothenberg will be a franchise cafe.

HRC Gothenberg will be located at Kungsportsavenyen 10, the main shopping street in Gothenburg.
